my friendz!!!!!!!!!! :3
These are the good friends of Bun in the Bunland
This is the section that instead of being self indulgent for me, it's basically like... others-indulgence?????
You know, like instead of indulgently self-promoting its own things, bun is promoting others????
....WHATEVER HERE ARE COOL SITES BY FRIENDS AND PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ME BUT ARE VERY VERY COOL AAAAAAAAA
ARTISTS
Local artists, friends of mine, just people making cool things in general!
Streamers, YouTubers, musicians, anything fun to watch, listen to or read is here!
Candy Critters
A West Virginian couple that makes original art, prints and merch with the cutest aesthetic and vibe imaginable. Plenty of nice fandom-related things, and a boatload of designs and pieces featuring nostalgic characters and things of all kinds. Seeing Rock-a-fire Explosion stickers at their booth made my Tsubasacon experience last October, a real "I have met My Kind of Artists" thing. They've got a new range of plushies dropping this year, too! Keep an eye out for their con appearances!

Joantoonz
Super cool deer with a real Joe Murray aesthetic to her work that is 1000% utterly My Shit. Catch her streams on Twitch and say hi, she's friendly and always has good convos with chat!

Mitchulhu
Longtime fandom friend and maybe one of the best artists bun has ever known. Dude is an immense talent, and a super chill, humble and just all around very pleasant guy to talk to!

Apps, VSTs, brushes, assets, all manner of lil goodies that bun finds useful and recommends!
Cardinal
Has the recent explosion of Modular Synth Content online Euroracked your brain? Do you want to create strange sounds that may or may not take entirely too much effort and about a million patch cables to program, but have no money? No problem! Cardinal is a VST plugin fork of VCVRack, and it's amazing fun to mess with. Has a learning curve, but with even simple knowledge you can begin to make some sick sequences and patches in no time, with a level of control that most conventional synth VSTs don't offer.

CloudPaint
An online re-implementation of classic MacPaint, for all your pixelly, crusty, retro drawing needs. Maybe not full accurate to the original, but it works in a pinch and saves the effort of finding the right brushes for Photoshop or Clip Studio if you need a quick thing with the aesthetic. Also just cool in general, and complete with an extra little Photoshop-lite style thing.

Freakshow Industries
Strange, ethereal VST effects with an absolutely killer aesthetic and a good dosage of cynical, irreverant humor. Their plugins are paid, but they offer an official "piracy" system that allows you to choose your own price or even download their plugins for free (albeit without comprehensive support). Please do consider buying a plugin or merch from them, though, they're a great company.

Full Bucket Music
Free original synth VSTs and some fantastic recreations of vintage gear! Any FB plugin is worth a try, but two that have been go-tos for me are Mono/Fury (a super fun Korg Mono/Poly clone) and BrokenMini (a Minimoog with some absolutely unhinged deliberate hardware quirks that can really tweak the sound)

The Usual Suspects
This group has developed several VST emulations of synths that use the DSP56300 chip, from the Access Virus to the Waldorf Microwave. You'll need to source the ROMs for the synths yourself through legit files or, well, the usual internet acquisition methods, but the fairly brief set up is worth it to get all the juicy 90s rave and trance patches you could ever want!

The Usual Suspects
Danny and Alex stream Sick and Twisted games for Sick and Twisted people. Also normal games sometimes, but let's be real, the Sick and Twisted content is what we're all there for. If you need your entertainment to have copious references to My Girl, gay rats and General Norman "Stormin' Norman" Schwarzkopf, this is for you.
ENTERTAINMENT
Streamers, YouTubers, musicians, anything fun to watch, listen to or read is here!
BrutalMoose
One of my favorite YouTubers ever, his slow growth beyond simple gaming reviews into food, VHSes, thrifting and everything else imaginable is just a textbook example of a creator's work maturing into something totally unique. His deadpan humor, casual delivery and offbeat editing style feel like something so many others are playing catchup with stylistically. He also makes super good (furry!!!) art and music, though he seems to keep it a little more lowkey than his videos or streams. Check out his Twitch Bingo VODs!

Dinosaur Dracula
Matt has been covering niche little bits of fun nostalgia and 80s/90s culture for absolute years, and his site is an incredibly fun place to just peek through and check out the backlog of. Around Halloween and the winter holiday season is when it gets really good though, with seasonal nostalgia all over the place, and super fun daily microblogs of interesting little holiday events and ephemera. Also check out his and Jay of Sludge Central's Purple Stuff Podcast!

Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music
Absolute classic from the halcyon days of Web 2.0. Imagine the classic sort of Something Awful-type fandom roasting combined with genuinely well written research into a nigh innumerable amount of musical subgenres and cultures. If you're looking for an intro to a specific type of electronic music, or even a few new tracks to listen to in a preferred genre, this site rules for discovering it.

Polygondwanaland
An entirely free King Gizzard album. Free as in FREE. Free to download, remix, even bootleg and publish yourzself! Now there is now excuse to not get Gizzbrained (also it's a good album anyways especially if you like prog)

ODDITIES
Useless things, but fun type useless. Hopefully.

3DS Hacks Guide
You have a 3DS in 2025. It is either hacked, or it is not. If it is not, go here. Hack it. Do it. Right now. Experience Freedom. Experience Life. Experience Love. Experience Dungeons of Daggorath ported to your Nintendo handheld. Hack your goddamn 3DS already.

Sterling
A fur friend who formed and presides over a local meetup group. His site could easily slot under Pals, but with things like the vintage computing section and his various GitHub projects, it's definitely worth slipping into tech (it helps mostly associating him with being a lot better at tech than me in general...) Of course if you are primally afraid of computers and anything resembling code like me, there's plenty of other interesting little things throughout. Also peep (haha bird joke) his photography!

WinWorldPC
A retro computer-ing goldmine (computering was a typo but we'll keep it, it sounds funny). OS installs, program files, utilities, almost anything you may need to get a virtual machine or even a real PC up and running should be here, from classic Win9x to a lot of vintage Linux and OS/2 stuff my clueless ass is woefully underaware of.
